Footballers of «Ahal» strengthened their position in the fight for silver medals in the Turkmenistan Premier League Football Championship after two postponed matches in Balkanabat and Ashgabat.

In the rescheduled match of the 22^nd round, which took place in the administrative centre of the Balkan velayat, the team of the Main administration «Turkmennebitonumleri» secured their 16^th victory, defeating the local «Nebitchi» 3-0. Enver Annayev opened the scoring for «Ahal» in the 37^th minute, followed by team captain Elman Tagayev scoring twice (the 43^rd and 50^th minutes were penalties).

In another postponed match of the 24^th round, pursuer of «Ahal» in the fight for silver, «Altyn Asyr», lost at the stadium in the Buzmeyin etrap of the capital to the current champion of Turkmenistan, «Arkadag», 0:2. Bayram Atayev (7^th minute) and Gurbanmuhammet Esenov (64^th) scored for the winners. The latter scored 100^th goal of «Arkadag» in the current national championship.

After these meetings, «Ahal», which is in second place with 52 points, increased its lead over «Altyn Asyr», which is in third place, to five points.

Having won 26 of 26 matches, three-time champion of Turkmenistan «Arkadag» has 78 points with an excellent goal difference of 100-14.

There are two rounds left until the end of the 2025 Turkmenistan Championship.
