The capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, will once again become a focal point for the global business community. On March 18, 2026, the International Forum “Investing in the Future of Turkmenistan” (IFT 2026) will take place here. The large-scale event is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCI) and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) in partnership with the consulting company TMT Consulting Group.
Event of the year
According to the official calendar, IFT 2026 will become one of the key events of the year, launching a cycle of international exhibitions and business forums in the country. The program will open with a multidisciplinary exhibition dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
Established on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is today developing dynamically with the support of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, making a significant contribution to the national economy. The head of state places priority on the integration of private business into the country’s economic environment, which makes the holding of such forums particularly relevant.
A platform for dialogue and investment
IFT 2026 is intended to become a global platform where business leaders, investors, and financial institutions can discuss cooperation strategies and explore promising startups.
The organizers expect strong participant engagement, building on last year’s success. IFT 2025 brought together more than 500 delegates from 25 countries. The forum was attended by 40 international organizations and over 360 companies. As a result of meetings held in B2B and B2G formats, a substantial package of agreements was signed.
IFT 2026 agenda
This year’s focus will be on strategic areas of development, including industrial production and processing, transport, logistics and infrastructure, agriculture and agribusiness, IT technologies, digitalization and innovative solutions, state support for business, and mechanisms for attracting foreign direct investment.
Special attention will be given to presentations of specific investment proposals from national enterprises. For foreign partners, this represents a unique opportunity to deploy assets with access to the growing Central Asian market.
Format and geography
Delegations from the European Union, as well as countries of Asia, the Middle East, and North America, are expected to participate. All conditions will be created for productive work, ranging from expert panels and plenary sessions to individual negotiations.
According to experts, IFT 2026 will become a key connecting link in the development of Turkmenistan’s private sector. The forum will create a unified, multi-format venue where capital owners and authors of promising projects can meet to establish long-term partnerships.
