Turkmenistan is entering a new stage of technological modernisation. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution approving the State program for the development of the digital economy for 2026-2028 and the action Plan for its implementation.

The document was prepared in accordance with the adopted Concept for the development of the digital economy in Turkmenistan for 2026-2028 and presented to the head of state at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by deputy-prime M.Chakyyev.

The new state program is aimed at a profound transformation of all economic sectors of the country. The main priorities are defined as: the introduction of innovative technologies into production processes, the creation of a high-tech economic model that meets international standards, and the widespread implementation of digital systems in the work of government agencies.

The implementation of the program is entrusted to all levels of government administration. The President of the country ordered ministries and industry departments, hakimliks of velayats, and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag to ensure the implementation of the planned activities.
