The Institute of telecommunications and informatics of Turkmenistan is accepting applications for participation in the «AI-solutions» hackathon, organised by the university among students of higher education institutions of the country.
The goal of the event is to develop the capabilities and skills of emerging professionals in the application of artificial intelligence technologies, the development and creation of effective AI-projects, and the assessment of their commercialisation potential.
The competition will take place on the 21st of February in the building of the economic society «Sanly Çözgüt - IT meýdança», operating under the Institute of telecommunications and informatics of Turkmenistan.
Each university invites one team of four students to participate in the hackathon.
The task of contestants − to create a testing system using AI that generates questions according to category of the user and evaluates their intellectual level based on the results obtained.
The effectiveness and performance of innovative projects of the participants will be assessed by a panel of judges, which will include university professors specialising in IT-related disciplines and invited experts in the field.
The winners of the hackathon will be the teams that score the highest number of points across all assessment criteria for completing the tasks set within the competition.
Student teams that win prizes in the hackathon will be awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts from the Institute of telecommunications and informatics of Turkmenistan. The award ceremony for the winners will take place on the day of the competition at the ES «Sanly Çözgüt - IT meýdança».

The organisers are confident that the competition will help improve digital literacy among students, identify the most talented individuals in the field of AI-technology, and develop creative thinking, ability to find simple and quick solutions to problems using AI of the students, as well as teamwork skills.
