The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan hosted a ceremonial event dedicated to the professional holiday of Russian diplomats. The reception brought together a distinguished group of participants, underscoring the special status of relations between Moscow and Ashgabat.
Among those attending the celebration were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myakhri Byashimova, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country, representatives of leading media outlets, as well as prominent figures from business and public circles.
Opening the formal part of the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia, Ivan Volynkin, outlined the key priorities of the diplomatic service’s work. Particular attention was given to regional cooperation.
“Among the main priorities of Russia’s foreign policy is strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the states of Central Asia, as well as maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region. A vivid example of this paradigm is the strong ties between Russia and Turkmenistan, built on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and good neighborliness,” emphasized the diplomat.
The ambassador expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan — President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov — for creating favorable conditions for the work of the diplomatic mission and for their personal attention to the development of the bilateral strategic partnership.
“I am confident that many interesting events and projects lie ahead. Our cohesive team will continue to work with maximum dedication, contributing to the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan, as well as the centuries-old friendship between the brotherly peoples of our two states,” concluded Volynkin.
In her remarks, Deputy Foreign Minister M. Byashimova emphasized the high level of trust between the two countries. She described open and regular dialogue at the highest state level as the solid foundation of successful cooperation.
“The undeniable foundation of our success is the high level of personal dialogue between the leaders of our states. Regular contacts at the highest level give a powerful impetus to intensifying our joint activities across a broad range of areas. As is well known, this year Turkmenistan holds the chairmanship of the CIS, and on this occasion a number of important CIS-related events are planned. I am confident that the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth, which will be hosted in our country, will make a significant contribution to further strengthening partnership within this format,” said the Deputy Minister.
Concluding the official part of the event, the parties expressed confidence that the joint efforts of diplomats would continue to serve the interests of their brotherly peoples and contribute to the prosperity of both states.
