Turkmen agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov invites students of grades 11 and 12 of secondary schools in the country to participate in the environmental Olympiad.
Up to 5 students from each etrap (city) who have shown high academic results in this discipline can take part in the competition. Applications for participation are accepted until the 1st of March by e-mail tm.tau.2022@gmail.com, to which you need to send a list of participants and their supervisors.
The competition will be held in two stages in the form of individual competitions in Turkmen and Russian.
The I stage of the competition will be held on the 4th of March at 10:00 in an online format on the digital educational portal of the TAU named after S.A. Nyyazov.
For schoolchildren from Ashgabat, Arkadag, and the Ahal velayat, the first stage will be held at the Turkmen agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov; from the Mary velayat - at the State energy Institute of Turkmenistan; from the Lebap velayat - at the Turkmen state pedagogical Institute named after S. Seydi; from the Dashoguz velayat - at the Turkmen agricultural Institute; from the Balkan velayat - at the Main education department of the Balkan velayat.
Taking into account the school ecology curriculum, test questions and tasks have been prepared for participants, which they have 90 minutes to complete.
Participants with the highest scores will advance to the second stage of the competition, which will take place in person on the 26th of March at the TAU named after S.A. Nyyazov.
At the second stage of the competition, participants will present their scientific projects prepared within the framework of the UN Sustainable development goals in the field of food security and environmental protection.
The duration of each presentation should not exceed 5 minutes. At the request of students, the use of practical visual aids is allowed.
The scientific projects of the participants will be evaluated by the competition jury on a 100-point scale based on the following criteria: Relevance and significance; Innovation and scientific approach; Consistency and clarity of presentation; Accuracy and visibility of information; Practical effectiveness and feasibility; Conciseness of presentation of the author.
The jury of the II stage of the competition will include scientists, teachers, specialists of the TAU named after S.A. Nyyazov, other universities and secondary schools of the country.
The winners of the competition will be awarded with diplomas of I, II, III degrees and memorable gifts.

The environmental competition is held in order to support talented and creative youth, deepen knowledge and expand practical skills of students, encourage youth to participate in research, develop environmental culture among the younger generation, provide career guidance to high school students, as well as improve the quality of education and strengthen scientific and methodological cooperation between higher and secondary schools in the country.
