On February 18, 2026, an international conference of C6 think tanks entitled “C6: United Region, Common Future – Strengthening Strategic Dialogue” was held in Baku. It was organized by the Center for Analysis of International Relations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

The event was attended by Director of the Center for Analysis of International Relations F.Shafiyev, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies at the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan Sh.Shiriyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan G. Elyasov, members of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, heads and staff of foreign diplomatic missions, and representatives of think tanks and the expert community from C6 countries.

The conference addressed issues of strengthening regional cooperation, expanding strategic dialogue, and ensuring sustainable development in the current complex geopolitical environment. Participants emphasized the importance of the C6 format as an effective platform for developing interaction between countries in the region, strengthening mutual trust, and developing practical mechanisms for cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to issues of transport and logistics connectivity, economic partnership, energy security, sustainable development and regional security. The presentations noted that the C6 format is gradually transforming into an effective tool for promoting interregional cooperation and coordinating efforts in relevant areas.

Following the conference, participants expressed interest in further developing expert dialogue and expanding interaction within the C6 format.
