On February 20, 2026, to mark the year motto "Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful heavenly horses" and the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic held a lecture at the J. Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by faculty members and students from the university.

During the meeting, participants were provided with detailed information on the consistent implementation of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, based on the principles of permanent neutrality, peacefulness, good neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

It was noted that in 2026, Turkmenistan will also celebrate the 35th anniversary of its state Independence—a significant date in the history of the country's modern development. The impressive achievements achieved under the leadership of the head of state in the political, economic, cultural, and social spheres were highlighted.

Special attention was given to the work of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygy – parahatçylygyň we ynanyşmagyň aýdyň ýoly," which expounds on the philosophy of Turkmen neutrality as a crucial factor in ensuring sustainable peace and trust.

The role of Akhal-Teke horses as the national pride of the Turkmen people, an invaluable historical and cultural heritage, and one of the country's most striking symbols was emphasized.

The event concluded with a screening of the documentary film "Makhtumkuli in the Memory of the World," filmed in the Kyrgyz Republic.
