Today, at the capital cinema «Aşgabat» a solemn event devoted to the significant event took place - the feature film "Composer" created with financial assistance of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship was awarded special awards of the TURKSOY.
Before the beginning of the event, the gathered familiarised with the exhibition of history and development of national cinema developed in the foyer of the cinema hall. The magic force of motion picture arts renders a great influence on the spectator, therefore the exposition, in which various means for creation of film products are presented, cameras, the lighting equipment and other tools of different epoch drew attention of visitors. Among valuable exhibits are also a collection of prizes and awards, which in different years Turkmen motion picture arts were presented for its achievements. Henceforth this honourable gallery has been supplemented with new international awards.
Thanks to the comprehensive support of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on February 15-18 of the current year, in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Turkiye, Days of Turkmen cinema were held. Rich with versatile events, they became one of the major cultural events of the anniversary year and the real holiday of art.
On February 17, within the Days of Turkmen cinema in the Republic of Turkiye in the Cultural centre named after Yashar Kemal of Ankara city, the show of the feature film "Composer" took place. After screening, two prestigious international awards of TURKSOY were given to the picture. The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship was presented with the special award «Grand-winged falcon» for its weighty contribution to the film’s creation. In turn, composer Kerim Berdimuhamedov was awarded a special award « Winged Golden Steed » for musical accompaniment of film product. This fine news became a subject of pride of our people, and international recognition of the film - joyful event.
Speakers at the solemn forum warmly congratulated National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag, President of Turkmenistan Arkadagly Hero Serdar, Turkmen cinematographers and participants of the event with the award to the film "Composer" which was made with the support of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, special awards of TURKSOY international organisation. It became another outstanding achievement in the year, which is held under the motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers» and marks the 35th anniversary of sacred independence of our native land.
As was marked, thanks to indefatigable efforts of National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in the country the special attention is given to development of cinematography, expansion of public displays of national films, holding of film festivals and participation of Turkmen specialists in international film festivals.
The event held within Days of Turkmen cinema, visually displayed a growing interest of the Turkic world in our national culture and art and became an acknowledgement of consecutive development of mutual cultural dialogue between fraternal people. It was noted that the two awards given to the Turkmen feature film "Composer" by TURKSOY further underlined the importance of this cultural event.
The special attention was given in speeches to uniqueness of new international awards. It was underlined that the award to composer Kerim Berdimuhamedov «Winged gold racer» became a joyful event for domestic motion picture arts. It is remarkable that this award was handed by TURKSOY international organisation for the first time, and its award testifies to high art value of musical accompaniment of the film, which essentially enriched national cinema.

As was underlined, this award became another convincing acknowledgement of international recognition of noble and creative activity of the Foundaiton.
By the way, it is necessary to note that earlier, the film "Composer" was awarded prestigious awards. In 2024, at the IV International Film Festival «Gorkut ata», held in our country, the picture won a special prize of jury and award «The best woman's role». In 2025, in Moscow (Russian Federation), the film was presented with the Open Eurasian film award «Diamond butterfly» for nomination of «The best artist», organised by the Eurasian Academy of Cinema Arts.
The present celebration was accompanied by bright musical performances. The sounded songs became an integral part of the films, whiçh haýe won the loýe of sspectators and deeply touched hearts and presented participants of the event with unforgettable instants and sincere emotions.
During the forum, fragments from the film "Composer" which was made by «Türkmenfilm» Association named after Oguz khan with the support of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship were also shown.
As known, the film drew wide attention of spectators thanks to consecutive development of the plot and expressive artistic language, becoming one of the warmly welcomed creative products.
The picture depicts riches of national musical art of Turkmen people and its attractive inspiring force. All narration is organically built round the musical piece. Products of composer Kerim Berdimuhamedov subtly and pathetically transfer private world of heroes, based on rich traditions of Turkmen musical culture. These melodies promote preservation and development of cultural heritage of the Turkic people, brightly opening the general spiritual and cultural values of the Turkic world.
In their speeches, participants expressed deep gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for indefatigable efforts on glorification of national culture and art on the international scene. In connection with another international award of the Turkmen motion picture arts, they conveyed sincere congratulations and wishes of further large-scale successes in development of culture and country art.
At the end of the solemn event, its participants adopted the Message to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
