On March 3, 2026, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Annaev and the Vice-Rector of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Teodor Ioan Trasca. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

During the meeting, the positive and friendly nature of Turkmen-Romanian cooperation in the field of education and science was noted. The significance of the previously established interaction between the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest within the framework of the cooperation agreement was emphasized.

The parties exchanged views on expanding practical partnership, including the organization of joint academic and expert events.

It was noted that 2026 has been proclaimed in Turkmenistan as the year of "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses." In this regard, the possibility of holding thematic events, including those with the participation of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, was discussed.

Following the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen constructive dialogue and develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
