An event dedicated to International Women’s Day was held at the Ashgabat Specialized Boarding School named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi. Teachers and mentors gathered in the assembly hall along with honored guests—women elders who serve as custodians of national traditions and role models for the younger generation.

As a sign of gratitude and respect, the students presented them with spring bouquets and then performed a musical and poetic concert program.

From the stage, excerpts were read from the book by Hero-Arkadag “Worshipping Mother - Worshipping a Sacred Person,” revealing the foundations of the spiritual and moral heritage of the Turkmen people. The program also included inspiring lines from the works of the outstanding Turkmen poet Gurbannazar Ezizov, theatrical sketches, and folk dances. The intellectual segment of the event allowed the students to demonstrate their erudition, and the winners received symbolic prizes.

The festive concert was organized by educators Bezirgen Mukhammedov and Maya Sopyeva with the support of Jelaleddin Rejepov, Deputy Director for Educational Work. As Bezirgen Mukhammedov noted, the participation of elders in such meetings motivates schoolchildren to strive for the heights of knowledge and to work for the benefit of their Motherland. The achievements of the students are already reaching beyond the country’s borders. A vivid example was the recent victory of senior students at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Dubai.

Recognition of the young talents continued with an award ceremony. On behalf of the Ashgabat City Council of the Bagtyyarlyk Etrap of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, participants of the concert were presented with honorary certificates and valuable gifts. The school’s director, Sakhragozel Murzayeva, addressed the students with warm words of encouragement, wishing them diligence in their studies and new achievements.

The specialized boarding school is rightfully proud of its students, who successfully combine achievements in exact sciences, the study of foreign languages, and creative activities. By reciting the poetry of classical authors and performing contemporary compositions, the students demonstrated not only their talents but also their sincere love for national culture. Such events foster in the younger generation a true sense of patriotism and responsibility, laying a strong foundation for the country’s future prosperity.
