The teams “Arkadag” and “Shagadam” will compete for the Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup 2026. This became known following the semifinal matches held at the central arena of the multifunctional Ashgabat Stadium.

In the first semifinal, “Shagadam” defeated “Ashgabat” in a hard-fought match with a score of 1–0. The winning goal was scored by Akmamet Metdaev in the 32nd minute.

In the second match, three-time champions of Turkmenistan “Arkadag” overcame the country’s vice-champions “Ahal” with a 2–1 victory. The first half ended without goals from either side. In the second half, however, Dayanch Meredov (67th minute) and Meylis Diniyev (71st minute) scored two goals for “Arkadag”. The team of the Main Department “Turkmennebitonumleri” responded in the 85th minute with a precise strike from Suleyman Mirzoyev.

The final match will take place on March 12. Earlier on the same day, “Ahal” and “Ashgabat” will play in the match for third place.

Two additional matches will also be held during the tournament: “Kopetdag” will face the Turkmenistan U20 national team in the match for 5th–6th places, while “Nebitchi” and “Merv” will compete for 7th–8th places.
