During a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on conducting a large-scale environmental campaign in the country.
According to the document, a nationwide campaign to plant seedlings will be held on the 21st of March, 2026. This campaign is intended to be an important step in the implementation of the state strategy to transform Turkmenistan into a flourishing region. Ministries, departments and administrations of the regions, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, were instructed to ensure that the campaign is held at a high level.
The President of the country emphasised that issues of environmental protection and maintaining environmental well-being are an absolute priority of state policy.
In this regard, the head of Turkmenistan addressed specific instructions to Deputy-Prime T. Atahallyyev on coordinating the actions of all agencies for the mass planting of seedlings and their subsequent care.
