New textbooks for higher, secondary vocational and secondary comprehensive schools have been published in Turkmenistan

The Turkmen state publishing service, on the recommendation of the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, has published new textbooks for higher, secondary vocational, and secondary general educational institutions of the country.

The textbook «Russian language for specialisation», prepared by the author T. Babayeva, is intended for language training of students of Turkmen universities. The publication is aimed at students majoring in non-linguistic fields, including the «International economic relations» program.

The book is designed for 136 academic hours and is aimed at developing professional communication skills, including business correspondence, document preparation, negotiations and presentations, and participation in international projects. In order to test the acquired knowledge, the textbook provides texts and assignments for independent work.

The new textbook «English for International Lawyers», intended for students studying international law and international relations, is also aimed at achieving a high level of proficiency in foreign languages in the professional field.

The authors of the textbook are M. Orazova and A. Ovezova. The publication includes 12 sections and covers a wide range of topics, including the fundamentals of the legal systems of Turkmenistan, the Great Britain and the USA, as well as issues of international legal cooperation.

The preparation of such textbooks is of particular importance in the modern context of the development of international relations. In this regard, English and Russian are key tools of professional communication, contributing to effective interaction between states and specialists from around the world.

The new educational literature also includes publications aimed at training qualified specialists in the field of medicine.

The textbook «General chemistry» for students of secondary vocational schools with a medical profile was prepared by the authors M. Amangulyyev, A. Altyyev, M. Nurgeldiyev and T. Rozyyeva. The book describes in detail the fundamental principles of inorganic and organic chemistry, including the structure of the atom, the periodic law and the periodic table of chemical elements, chemical bonding, solutions, the kinetics of chemical reactions, as well as the structure and properties of organic compounds.

A new textbook, «Oncology», has been released for future mid-level medical professionals who are capable of effectively and promptly conducting necessary work with patients. Its authors are J. Hojamyradov and N. Soyungulyyeva.

The publication consists of two sections: «General oncology» and «Special oncology». The book presents basic information about the history and development of oncology, the epidemiology and classification of tumour diseases, and the features of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of oncological diseases.

The textbook places particular emphasis on early detection of diseases, risk factors for their occurrence, and modern methods of prevention and control. The new publication is designed to improve the quality of medical education and further develop the healthcare system of the country.

To ensure the successful professional development of future pedagogical specialists studying in the secondary vocational schools of the country, the textbook «Methodology for teaching the Turkmen language in grades V-VI» by O. Handurdyyeva and B. Garahanov was published.

The book consists of 9 sections and covers key issues in teaching the Turkmen language, including modern approaches to organising the educational process, methods of teaching phonetics, spelling, vocabulary, morphology, stylistics, and the development of written and oral speech of the students.

The textbook is aimed at improving the methodological knowledge of future teachers, introducing effective forms of organising classes, and ensuring the quality of teaching the native language.

Another new textbook, «History of Turkmenistan», by Y. Orazgylyjov, is intended for 12th-grade students in comprehensive schools across the country.

The book consists of 3 sections and 12 chapters covering key stages of the development of the country: from independence and the beginning of reforms to the current period of sustainable development.

This textbook aims to develop the analytical thinking of the students, foster a systemic understanding of recent history of their country, and develop an understanding of the specifics of state development, socio-political processes, and national priorities, all of which are essential components of civic responsibility and patriotic education for young people.
