An open short track championship of a sports school was held at the ice arena of the Winter Sports Complex in Ashgabat. Young athletes competed in the 500- and 1000-meter distances.

According to the results of the races, the placements were as follows:

1000 meters (boys):

1st place – Emmanuel Gurbangulyyev

2nd place – Danatar Mukhamov

500 meters (boys):

1st place – Kerim Arslanov

2nd place – Atajan Ataniyazov

500 meters (girls):

1st place – Meryem Hudaygulyeva

2nd place – Ayjan Bekieva

3rd place – Nurana Ataniyazova

The head coach of the Turkmenistan national short track team, Aykhanum Gulamalyeva, noted the high potential of the participants:

“Our athletes are very promising. Thanks to persistent training, we have big plans, the main one being to perform worthily at the International Sports Games ‘Children of Asia,’ which will take place in 2027 in Krasnoyarsk.”

The development of short track speed skating in Turkmenistan continues to gain momentum, opening up new opportunities for young talents.
