The activities of the National Society of the Red Crescent of Turkmenistan are fully aimed at implementing the humanitarian principles of our ancestors. The work of the Society harmoniously combines generally accepted international norms and is carried out in close cooperation with the global community.

At the ceremonial conference held at the House of Culture in the city of Turkmenabat, dedicated to the centenary of the founding of the National Society of the Red Crescent of Turkmenistan, special attention was paid to the importance of such sacred principles for this international movement as humanism, peaceful and happy life for people, and mutual assistance.

During the forum, which was attended by staff of velayat and etrap branches, veterans of the National Society, representatives of public organizations, and volunteers, issues related to the humanitarian activities of the organization since its foundation were discussed.

The speakers also emphasized that the seven fundamental principles of the National Society of the Red Crescent of Turkmenistan resonate with the domestic and foreign policy of our independent, permanently neutral Motherland, which is based on the principles of humanism, peace, and good neighborliness, supported by the international community. In addition, an analysis was presented of the work carried out among volunteers and youth to promote the fundamental principles of the National Society.

During the conference, video materials about the Society’s activities were shown. The importance of the work carried out by the Society’s branches in providing assistance to the population in emergency situations, offering social support, and ensuring the active participation of youth and volunteers in these activities was also highlighted.

Participants of the conference also became acquainted with an exhibition prepared by the Lebap velayat branch of the National Society of the Red Crescent together with volunteers.
