Is a Diploma Enough for a Modern Economist?

An open lesson was held at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, organized with the aim of improving the educational level of young people and training specialists who meet modern requirements. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, the “Young Entrepreneurs” Center under the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and the Information, Consulting and Volunteer Movement Center of the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.

The event, held under the theme “Is a Diploma Enough for a Modern Economist?”, generated strong interest among young people. During the session, the main speaker, economist Aganiyaz Dovletgeldiyev, emphasized that in today’s economic environment, having a diploma alone is not sufficient—practical experience, new competencies, and creative thinking are also essential. He also highlighted the need for continuous self-improvement and lifelong learning for young people in the context of the digital economy. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive information about new directions in the economic sphere, opportunities in entrepreneurship, and current labor market requirements.

The open lesson served as a stimulus for young people to acquire modern knowledge, expand their opportunities, and become highly qualified specialists in the future.
