The Dashoguz velayat State musical and drama theatre named after Nurmuhammet Andalyp continues to delight audiences with new productions this season. Very soon, the premiere of the play «Seýis» will take place on stage, and immediately after it, the creative team will present another new production – «Söýgi duralgasy» («Stop of love»).

The play by the famous Turkmen playwright Ashyr Mamiliyev has been repeatedly staged in various theatres across our country. Considering its dramatic basis to be extremely relevant, the Dashoguz theatre troupe decided to present their perspective on the issues raised in the work.

−This is a story about a married couple who, at one point in their lives, find themselves literally at a «stop» in their relationship, − says theatre director Guvanch Baymedov. – The theme of the family hearth, crisis and the revival of feelings is especially important for young families.

The director of the play was honoured artist of Turkmenistan, stage master Meretdurdy Seyidov. The main roles are played by the leading actors of the theatre – Dovran Bekdurdyyev and Maral Jambylova.

The creators of the production move away from everyday plots and towards symbolism, transforming the performance into a visual symphony in the style of minimalism. The laconic cube-shaped set, carefully crafted mise-en-scènes, and expressive musical accompaniment help to emphasise the inner experiences of the characters. The production will be presented to the public in the near future.
