One of the central topics of discussion was preparations for the 7th meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese intergovernmental cooperation committee, which is scheduled for the 16th of April in Ashgabat.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, head of the MFA Rashid Meredov informed that cooperation with the People's Republic of China is a priority of foreign policy of the country.

The upcoming meeting will become a platform for implementing the agreements reached between the two states. The work of committee is systemic, with 6 specialised subcommittees meeting regularly to coordinate activities in the digital, energy, and scientific and technical spheres.

Long-term guidelines have already been defined. Thus, the 10th meeting of the Subcommittee on energy cooperation and the 3rd meeting of the Subcommittee on scientific and technical cooperation are scheduled for the second half of 2026.
