The «Sakarchage» farm is successfully completing the season of receiving camel breeding

At the «Sakarchage» livestock farm, located in the etrap of the same name of the Mary velayat, the camel breeding season is proceeding with great success, a result of extensive work to develop the agricultural sector of the country.

The Murgap valley has historically been chosen for the development of camel breeding due to its unique natural conditions and the skill of local residents, who have passed on the secrets of this difficult craft from generation to generation. Today, the farm is part of the State association of livestock and poultry industry of Turkmenistan and continues the glorious traditions of its ancestors.

The current campaign to welcome the offspring has been organised at a high level, and the livestock tenants have approached it well prepared, having brought their cattle out of winter quarters in a state of average nutrition. The main work took place on the «Shyhmansur» and «Hanguyy» pastures, the names of which are associated with local wells and rich forage lands.

The plans of the livestock breeders for this season are quite ambitious: they plan to raise 836 healthy camels from 1858 females, and the schedule is currently 90 percent complete. According to the latest data from experts, the total herd size at the farm has reached 4053 units, of which 760 are new-born camels, a record figure in the nearly century-long history of the enterprise.

Families of hereditary livestock breeders, for whom the camel is a sacred animal, make an invaluable contribution to the prosperity of the industry, working on a lease basis in 20 specialised groups. The leading teams led by Mekan Jumanyyazov, Dortguly Bayramov, and Rovshen Pirliyev deserve special respect; their results this season have been recognised as the highest.
