An Olympiad on the fundamentals of economics among high school students was held at the Ashgabat School of finance and economics

The Ashgabat financial and economic secondary vocational school held an Olympiad in the subject «Fundamentals of economics» among 12th-grade students from the secondary schools of the capital.

The competition was organised by the vocational school with the support of the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan to mark the 35th anniversary of independence of the country.

80 talented students representing dozens of Ashgabat schools took part in the Olympiad. Based on the results of the intellectual competition, the participants won 29 prizes: 6 first, 10 second and 13 third.

The first places were awarded to Nepes Jorakulyyev, a student of school №68, Myrat Aramedov, a student of school №84, Shohrat Nepesov, a student of school №29, Bazar Jummetov, a student of school №39, Aygul Orazgeldiyeva, a student of school №66 and Muhammet Rejepov, a student of school №130.

The second places went to Shanazar Eminov (school №53), Merjen Berdimyradova (school №56), Maysa Berdigylyjova and Myratgeldi Edepliyev (school №43), Rahman Atayev and Leyli Shamuradova (school №6), Sokhbet Begsahedov (school №51), Nazly Safarmuhammet (school №85), Ogultach Dovrangeldiyeva (school №67) and Mekan Polatdurdyyev (school №78).

The third prize places were taken by Tovar Rejepbayev (school №98), Salar Nagimov (school №19), Ashyraly Gurbanmuhammedov (school №26), Yhlas Abdyev (school №76), Ayjeren Hezretgulyyeva (school №114), Humay Yusupova (school №63), Muhammetaly Rustamov (school №64), Ogultuvak Myratdurdyyeva (school №132), Gulnur Atdayeva (school №140), Shabibi Hojamyradova (school №123), Osman Ashyrov (school №50), Umyt Nurmuhammedov (school №38) and Palivan Yalkapov (school №90).

The winners were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees and valuable gifts from the Olympiad organisers.

The competition was held to identify and encourage talented and capable students, support schoolchildren in their career choices, enhance their theoretical knowledge, develop practical skills, train future high-level specialists, cultivate well-rounded youth, and stimulate their interest in science and education.
