Turkmenistan is preparing to take part in a number of major international events to be held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation. This was reported at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov.

According to the report, on May 13–14, a Turkmen delegation headed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will visit Kazan.

The annual International Economic Forum “Russia–Islamic World: KazanForum” is one of the leading platforms for discussing economic cooperation.

The Turkmen delegation will participate in specialized exhibitions and events, including the “Russia & Islamic World Cooperation Expo” conference, “International Property Market”, the international trade fair “Kazan Halal Market,” and the “Modest Fashion Day” festival.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the particular importance of the upcoming events in Kazan for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia. In this regard, the head of state instructed the relevant authorities to ensure a high level of participation by representatives of our country in all scheduled events.
