The III International Investment Forum brings together participants representing the official and business circles of different countries, large foreign companies and international organisations in the Turkmen capital.
Over 330 participants including 120 foreign delegates and representatives of the business circles from 20 countries of the world are taking part in the forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. Among them are the heads of the chambers of commerce and industry and financial institutions, the international business is represented by companies and business firms from the United States, the UK, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, the Republic of Korea, UAE, Turkey, India, Kazakhstan and other countries. Also, experts and top managers of international banks, investment funds and financial corporations, trade missions and structures of the UN, OSCCE, ECO have arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the forum.
The rich agenda of the business forum, which is being held at the Mizan Business Centre, is to present strategic options and priorities of the investment policy of the Turkmen state in key sectors of the national economy to foreign delegates. The separate sections will provide the platforms for discussing the prospects for collaboration in the context of socio-economic, innovative industrial development of Turkmenistan, including in the spheres of science and the fuel and energy sector, diversification of energy transit, agriculture, the textile industry, health care and the pharmaceutical sector, information technologies and telecommunications, external trade, entrepreneurship.
Also, such issues as further development of the regions of Turkmenistan and the construction industry, investment in urban planning and transport infrastructure, including in the Avaza national tourism zone, are put on the forum agenda. Forum participants will consider the place and role of financial and banking structures in forming investment capital, various aspects of the export, tax and credit policies, support for the private sector and the legal framework of foreign economic and investment activities.
The forum programme includes numerous meetings and talks of potential partners, top managers of foreign and international companies with representatives of the official circles, specialists of ministries and departments, businessmen who will discuss the opportunities for collaboration in various spheres.
