The Turkmen state publishing service has released new textbooks for 5th-grade students in Russian-language secondary schools across the country.
The updated textbook «Fine arts» was prepared by the authors V. Amangeldiyev and B. Akyyev.
This publication was prepared in accordance with modern educational requirements and is aimed at developing artistic thinking of students, fostering an interest in creativity, and introducing them to the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people.
The textbook consists of four thematic sections: «The Art of my people», «Decorative and applied arts of our people», «Fine arts of our people», and «The Image of man and nature in the works of artists of the world».
Particular attention is paid to the study of national art for the purpose of its further development, popularisation, preservation of identity and transmission of rich traditions of the people to the younger generation.
Another new textbook, «Technical labour», was prepared for 5th-grade students by authors B. Geldiyev, Y. Sotnikova, and A. Charyyeva.
The textbook is compiled in accordance with the modern educational program and is distinguished by its relevant content, practical focus, and accessible presentation of the material.
This textbook will introduce students to clay-working techniques and the production of various products, explore the properties of wood and its uses, and develop skills in using hand tools used in woodworking.
The publication pays special attention to compliance with safety regulations during practical work. The new textbook aims to develop the work skills of the students, creativity, and technical thinking, which will contribute to their comprehensive development and career guidance.
