With the commissioning of a new production department for the manufacture of high-quality wool yarn at the Bayramaly Textile Complex in the Mary velayat during the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, the number of production divisions at the enterprise has reached five. This development will have a positive impact on strengthening the economic capacity of the textile complex.
The annual production capacity of the new department is designed to produce 130 tons of wool yarn through the processing of goat down and camel wool. The key feature of the production process is the exclusive use of locally sourced raw materials. Supplies are planned to be purchased from private and state-owned livestock farms, which will help reduce the cost of finished products. The use of domestic resources is aimed at producing high-quality wool yarn that is in great demand on foreign markets.
The department is equipped with powerful wool-processing machinery manufactured by the Italian company Cormatex S.r.L.. The production building occupies an area of 4,952 square meters. The new facility consists of three divisions: spinning, fiber dyeing, and laboratory departments. In the spinning workshop, the wool undergoes initial washing and cleaning. The finished yarn is then sent to the dyeing department. Quality control of raw materials and finished products is carried out in the laboratory division equipped with modern diagnostic equipment.
The launch of wool yarn production at the new workshop will expand the range of products manufactured by the domestic textile industry. It will also make a significant contribution to strengthening the export potential of the sector. With the opening of the new workshop, more than 110 new jobs have been created. Specialists will work in three shifts.
The Bayramaly Textile Complex is one of the powerful industrial centers built during the years of independence. Here, our invaluable “white gold” undergoes a full processing cycle — from cleaning raw cotton to manufacturing finished high-quality products. The textile complex currently consists of four previously operating divisions: spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing departments. All divisions are equipped with machinery from world-renowned companies in Italy and Germany.
The complex produces towels of various sizes, bathrobes for women, men, and children, as well as different types of kitchen textile sets. Cotton fiber, which serves as the main raw material for production, is supplied from cotton-processing enterprises.
At the yarn production department, yarns numbered Nm17/1 and Nm20/1 are currently manufactured from cotton fiber processed according to international standards.
At the complex, where more than 852 specialists are employed, high-quality fabrics from the weaving department are sent to the dyeing section. There, using advanced technologies, the fabric undergoes dyeing and drying cycles. In the sewing department, decorative patterns and embroidery are applied to finished products using computerized equipment.
During the first four months of the year “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” the Bayramaly Textile Complex produced marketable goods worth 49 million 37 thousand 710 manats, fulfilling the production plan by 136 percent. During the corresponding period last year, products worth 41 million 471 thousand 90 manats were manufactured. This demonstrates growth of 118.2 percent compared to the previous year. Finished products are sold through the “Altyn Asyr” textile stores located in the cities of Ashgabat, Mary, and Bayramaly.
The enterprise’s products, manufactured under the “Merw” trademark from high-quality pure cotton, enjoy strong demand both in domestic and foreign markets. Currently, under the “Made in Turkmenistan” brand, these goods are exported to the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.
