The first inclusive checkers tournament, «Çäksiz göçüm» («Move without borders»), which brought together people of all ages and abilities, was held in the city of Mary.
The event, organised by the business entity «Däp-Dessur» with the support of the companies «Bold» and «Däp», was timed to coincide with mental health month declared by the WHO in May and aimed to support social inclusion, emotional well-being, and strengthening a mutual culture in society.

The tournament brought together more than 40 participants, including children, young people, senior citizens, and participants with disabilities, including visually impaired people and wheelchair users. Its main goal was to create a space of equal opportunities, lively communication, and uniting people through intellectual sports.
Participants competed in a 9-round Swiss system, which allowed them to play several games against opponents of varying skill levels and made the competition more dynamic and interesting.
Throughout the day, a warm and respectful atmosphere reigned in the hall. Representatives of different generations met at the checkers boards – schoolchildren played with experienced adult players, and alongside the tense games there was laughter, words of encouragement, and friendly conversations.

The organisers emphasised that checkers have become not only an intellectual competition, but also a tool for communication, social adaptation, and strengthening mental well-being.
«The main victory was that people of different ages and abilities came together, communicated, and supported each other», – noted the event organisers.
The winners and holders of special nominations were awarded medals and diplomas, and all participants received certificates and commemorative gifts.
