Guided by the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, farmers in the Mary velayat are currently actively preparing for the crucial harvest season. All efforts in the velayat are focused on carrying out the harvest in an organised manner and collecting the harvest, grown by the hard work of the farmers, within the established timeframe.
Last autumn, wheat varieties producing high yields in local soil and climate conditions were selected in the Mary velayat – «Ýolöten-3», «Ýolöten-1», «Alekseich», «Bezostaya-100», «Batko», and «Kalin» – and sown on 170 thousand hectares of land. The grain growers of the region meticulously tended their crops to deliver 345 thousand tons of full-weight wheat to the harvest of the Motherland in the year of «Independent, neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful winged horses». Thanks to the work carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards, a rich harvest was grown. According to specialists from the «Marygallaönümleri» production association, the plan is to harvest an average of 20–25 centners of grain per hectare of agricultural land.

In the Murgap valley, the mowing season begins on the agricultural lands of the «Ak altyn» dayhan association in the Garagum etrap. At the etrap production enterprises of the «Obahyzmat» production association «Maryobahyzmat», grain harvesters that will be used in the harvest were thoroughly inspected and brought to a state of readiness. To ensure the organised implementation of this important campaign, duty groups have been created at the technical service enterprises of the association in the etraps of the velayat.
During the harvest season, 346 high-performance grain harvesters will be working in the fields of the region. Agricultural workers always focus on ensuring the seasonal readiness of the equipment that has become the backbone of farms of the farmers. Its effective operation will ensure that the responsible campaign is carried out in an organised manner and within the optimal timeframe.
To ensure the smooth reception and storage of the harvest, the «Marygallaönümleri» production association has prepared powerful elevators, barns, sheds, and open areas at grain receiving facilities. Wheat quality control will be ensured by laboratory specialists at the enterprises. For the grain harvest, 45 reception points and threshing floors have been created in the velayat. Grain reception points have undergone repairs, have been equipped with modern electronic scales, and are now fully prepared for the season. 1 thousand 730 trucks from the «Maryawtoulag» production association and private vehicles will be used to transport the wheat.
