Today, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hajy Arkadag performed a festive prayer in commemoration of the beginning of Gurban bayramy in the mosque of spirituality of Turkmenbashi in Gypjak and familiarised with the course of construction of a mosque in Arkadag city where he gave Gurbanlyk-sadaka. All it attested to the adherence of Hajy Arkadag to high cultural wealth and centuries-old traditions of Turkmen people.
Today, in all corners of our fatherland, which confidently follows with precipitancy of the racer to new heights of development, celebrations on the occasion of sacred Gurban bayramy were held. Historically significant moments of the significant holiday in the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers» started early in the morning with the reading of festive prayer in the light mosques which are considered as the abode of Almighty.
With the dawn of the first day of the holiday, the picturesque landscape at the piedmont of mountains changed: charm of surrounding nature filled with morning freshness, presented a look similar to a work of art of beauty.
With the first beams of the sun, Hajy Arkadag arrived in the Mosque of spirituality of Turkmenbashi in Gypjak for fulfilment of important religious practice of Gurban bayramy. Members of the Council of elders of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan as well as those under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in our country gathered there.
Having warmly greeted the gathered, Hajy Arkadag congratulated all on the sacred holiday, wished that prayers and sadaka, made during these blessed three days, would be accepted by the Almighty and entered the mosque building.
In the light premise of the Mosque of spirituality of Turkmenbashi, which are one of the largest one in the region, the festive prayer was read.
The Turkmen people, who fulfil all ceremonies of sacred Gurban bayramy, are sincerely grateful to Hajy Arkadag and Arkadagly Hajy Serdar for created conditions for worthy observance of traditions and customs. The unity, coherence and adherence of people serve centuries-old noble principles as a model for peace.
In his message to the people on the occasion of Gurban bayramy, Arkadagly Hajy Serdar pointed out that this sacred holiday serves the strengthening of principles of humanism, friendship and peaceful disposition, personifying spiritual-moral values of our people, and unity, mutual respect and spiritual unity in society.
Today, in Turkmenistan, the strengthening of spiritual pillars of society, moral education, pilgrimage to relics of the Islamic world, fulfilment of a Mohammedan prayer and conduction of celebrations in honour of significant holidays became a noble tradition. It speaks of those noble initiatives of Hajy Arkadag, which are successfully realised under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hajy Serdar.
After the festive Mohammedan prayer, Hajy Arkadag, having addressed the gathered, wished acceptance of prayers they have read, by the Almighty.
Then, Hajy Arkadag together with members of the Council of elders and foreign diplomats headed towards to the place of rest of the first President of Turkmenistan Saparmyrat Niyazov.
The believers who gathered here, following Islamic canons, on completion of the prayer, performed prayers for prosperity of our fatherland and happy life of people. As known, these days thousands of Turkmen nationals make a pilgrimage to Islam relics, praying for success of noble undertakings of Hajy Arkadag and Arkadagly Hajy Serdar aimed at strengthening universal peace and sustainable development.
At the tomb of the first President of Turkmenistan and members of his family ayats were read. The present performed prayers for rest of souls deceased in paradise. It became one more acknowledgement of the fact that under the leadership of Hajy Arkadag the tradition of remembrance of the deceased and honouring of their memory proceeds.
Then, Hajy Arkadag thanked the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in our country - representatives of the Islamic ummah, for active participation in such significant event for our people and, having said goodbye to the gathered, left the place.

Located in one of the picturesque corners of the country, Arkadag city on the first day of sacred Gurban bayramy, filled with a special festive atmosphere, its harmonious architectural shape, organic combination of different projects, wide clear avenues, visually displays successful realisation of the model town-planning program in Turkmenistan. It is pleasant to notice that rates of works within the second stage of construction of the city based under the initiative and thanks to consecutive efforts of Hero-Arkadag continue increase confidently.
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hajy Arkadag arrived in the site of a new mosque of Arkadag city, which is designed for 30 thousand persons and meets modern requirements. There, Hero-Arkadag was warmly met.
Hero-Arkadag had a talk with foreign ambassadors and members of the council of elders.
During the conversation, Hajy Arkadag marked that in days of independence in Turkmenistan a powerful impulse was given to construction of mosques. Today, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, along with modern different projects, in all corners of our fatherland erection of mosques consistently proceeds. It plays an important role in development of noble activities in the country.
Hajy Arkadag underlined that all this activity speaks of invariable adherence of the Turkmen people to ideals of peace, friendship and humanism, ancient traditions based on wisdom of ancestors and harmoniously combined with the spirit of the modern epoch, high cultural wealth and noble principles.
Then, Hajy Arkadag visited the main building of the mosque. There , the detailed information on paces of civil work, features of internal registration and the materials used at building and furnish of projects of the new city, taking into account the recommendations given earlier by Hero-Arkadag was presented.
Among the presented projects - schemes of the system of heating, kinds of prayer carpets, decorative inscriptions, which will be placed on walls of the majestic building, feature of minarets, types of marble and carpets, and the design solutions connected with decoration of mihrab of the sacred building, and corresponding drawings.
Having underlined the necessity of acceleration of rates of work within the second stage of building of the new city, Hajy Arkadag pointed out that the ensuring of quality of erection of the mosque is the key requirement. All planned works should be executed in target dates, thus special attention should be given to accomplishment of adjoining territories and maintenance of high ecological level in the city, Hero-Arkadag said and made corresponding recommendations.
As was underlined by Hajy Arkadag, from the moment of obtaining of independence by the country the special attention has been given to issues of ideology and spiritual education. So, with participation of respectable elders of people, the pillars of the national identity consistently strengthened, the theological faculty, where many young men have got education, was opened.
For that time, in the district of Koshi, with our Arabian brothers the mosque «Şehitler», which has become one of the first ones, was built. Then, Turkish brothers erected the mosque of Ertogrul. The Gökdepe mosque and the main mosque in Gypjak were also built. Having underlined that with accumulation of experience of local builders in the capital and velayats new religious constructions were realized, Hero-Arkadag mentioned some data, concerning the past of Turkmen people.
Further, Hajy Arkadag stated that today in Arkadag modern city, the construction of the mosque for 30 thousand persons proceeds. Addressing the present, Hero-Arkadag underlined that he welcomes any offers and ideas concerning the project and is ready to consider them.
As Hero-Arkadag noted, at present, in painting and decoration of the new mosque marble and various building materials delivered from the neighbouring and friendly countries are used and it testifies to the importance of good-neighbourhood, which promotes realisations of good undertakings and reflect principles of mutual respect, unity and trust. Thus, for years of independence thanks to close connections, cooperation with partners has assumed a qualitatively new level.
In that connection, it was underlined that in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state when the country confidently follows the path of radical restructurings, the major condition is an active participation of citizens in realisation of great goals aimed at maintenance of sustainable development. During the Gurban bayramy, fulfilment of religious practices is a spiritual and moral duty of everyone before society.
Then, Hajy Arkadag left the mosque building. The conversation with members of the council of elders of the Khalk Maslakhaty and members of the council under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan was held.
Foreign diplomats underlined that for them it was a great honour to attend the mosque on the sacred holiday of the Islamic world Gurban bayramy and together with Hajy Arkadag to familiarise with the course of civil work. Diplomats confirmed their further readiness to bring their contribution to development of multiplane cooperation with Turkmenistan, which follows the path of steady and harmonious development.
Hajy Arkadag noticed that Gurban bayramy is the holiday of unity and coherence and underlined that it is one of the traditions of Turkmen people to mark it together with friends and fraternal people. Having thanked the gathered for participation in actions, Hero-Arkadag invited all to the sadaka, which will be given in the cultural-entertaining centre "Märkaw" located in the central part of the new city, and left the place.
In the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, sacred Gurban bayramy as a symbol of high spiritual-moral values, reflects unity and coherence of society, adherence of generations to spiritual traditions of ancestors. This holiday, which has incorporated vital values, shows that centuries-old traditions of people serve as an example and model to follow in the present period.
The gurbanlyk sadaka, given by Hajy Arkadag became a bright symbol of fidelity to noble precepts of ancestors and high spiritual duty. Gurban bayramy is the holiday when cultural wealth and the traditions forming the inner world of the individual and uplifts its merits, is again strengthened and recognized.
Hajy Arkadag passed onto the specially prepared place and congratulated all on this sacred holiday.
Addressing the gathered, Hero-Arkadag noticed that in independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, all conditions are created to observance of religious and national traditions. Citizens of the country visit holy sites, mosques and make prayers. During the Gurban bayramy, about three thousand pilgrims from Turkmenistan make a hajj to the sacred Kaaba in Mecca - spiritual centre of the Islamic world, fulfilling their religious duties. On the first day of the Gurban bayramy we together gathered in Arkadag city to attend the sadaka, - Hajy Arkadag said.
Hajy Arkadag once again warmly congratulated all the present with blessed Gurban bayramy and wished that the sadaka and prayers would be accepted by the Almighty and underlined that Turkmen people are the people of faith in their hearts.
Developing on the thought on the indissoluble link of Islamic values with centuries-old traditions of the Turkmen people, Hajy Arkadag marked that our way is the path of people, and the path of people is the path of truth and justice. After these words, the imam of Akhal velayat read the prayer «tabarak», prayed for acceptance of the sadaka given by Hajy Arkadag by the almighty.
In the prayer, sincere wishes of health and longevity of Hajy Arkadag and Arkadagly Hajy Serdar, whose indefatigably care of maintenance of continuity of spiritually-moral values of the Turkmen people, such, as cleanliness of thoughts, nobleness, humanism and aspiration to perfection, cultural heritage preservation, respect for ancestors, goodwill and fidelity, sounded. In prayers, wishes of well-being were also expressed to our fatherland and happy life of people.
Then, participants of the sadaka were treated to entertainments that became a reflexion of continuity of ancient traditions in modern Turkmen society, education of the younger generation on the basis of spiritual heritage of wise ancestors.
Like before, Gurban bayramy nowadays takes a special place in the society life, symbolising the spiritual uplift and national unity. Preparation of traditional dishes during the sacred holiday, preparation of remembrance meals and reading of prayers are an acknowledgement of careful preservation of centuries-old customs.
On completion of the meal, by the established noble tradition, ayats and prayers were read. All this also attested to the fact that in our country religious duties according to primordial spiritual traditions are observed.
Then, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hajy Arkadag wished, that the said prayers would be accepted by the Almighty and thanked all participants of the event.
Having wished all the further successes in their noble activity, Hero-Arkadag left the place.
