Final State Examinations Begin at Turkmenistan’s Universities

Beginning on June 1, final state examinations will commence for students graduating from higher education institutions across Turkmenistan in the 2025–2026 academic year.

The first institution to announce the start of these important and highly responsible examinations for graduating students was the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

To ensure that the examinations are conducted at a high organizational level and in a fair, transparent, and objective manner, while providing equal and comfortable conditions for every graduate, the university has established 21 State Examination Committees. These committees are chaired by scholars and researchers from the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and sectoral research institutes, as well as leading specialists from relevant ministries and government agencies and professors and lecturers from the country’s higher education institutions.

In the 2025–2026 academic year, 1,879 specialists, bachelor’s degree students, and master’s degree students will complete their studies at Magtymguly Turkmen State University in more than 30 fields of study.

University representatives emphasized that the training of future specialists has been carried out in accordance with the priorities set forth in the program “Revival of the New Era of the Sovereign State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052,” the Concept for Improving the Teaching of Natural and Exact Sciences in Turkmenistan, the State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Biotechnology in Turkmenistan for 2024–2028, the Strategy for the Development of Science in Turkmenistan for 2024–2052, the Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in the Country for 2026–2052, and other major national development programs.

The successful implementation of these state initiatives, together with the broad opportunities created for young people in our country, provides a solid foundation for obtaining a high-quality education, fostering students’ scientific and creative development, training competitive and highly sought-after specialists, and nurturing worthy citizens of the country.
