The Turkmen state publishing service, on the recommendation of the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, has released another batch of new textbooks for students in the comprehensive secondary schools of the country.
The textbook «World history» is intended for 12th-grade students and was prepared in accordance with the educational program by the authors J. Hatamov and J. Gurbangeldiyev.
The textbook is dedicated to the political, economic and social changes of the XXI century.It presents materials on the history of European and American countries, Asian and African states, as well as contemporary global processes. Particular attention is paid to issues of international cooperation, technological development, artificial intelligence, and the role of independent, neutral Turkmenistan in world politics.
The structure of the textbook includes one section, three chapters and 32 paragraphs. At the end of the publication there is a glossary of terms and a list of abbreviations.
The textbook is designed to contribute to the formation of a modern worldview among young people, expand their knowledge of world history, and develop an understanding of current global processes and the system of international relations.
The new publications for schools also include the «Chrestomathy on Literature» for 9th-grade students with Russian as the language of instruction, prepared by L. Kasparova, S. Musayeva, and G. Atadurdyyeva.
The chrestomathy was developed in accordance with the literature curriculum and is aimed at developing literary and artistic skills and the creative abilities of students. The new chrestomathy, published as a supplement to the literature textbook, is designed to facilitate the assimilation and consolidation of the studied material, and to supplement and expand the knowledge of students.
An important goal of the chrestomathy is to develop interest of students in reading, the ability to delve into the content and understand a work, interpret and comment on it, and competently express their opinions about what they have read.
The authors of this educational chrestomathy express hope for the successful establishment of a creative dialogue with students, which will become a faithful companion in the development of reading culture in schoolchildren and their understanding of the wonderful world of literature.
