On the 1st of June, 2026, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, Nury Golliyev and the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Mamataliyev. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations.

It was noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic continues to develop dynamically across a wide range of areas, including interparliamentary cooperation, trade and economic relations, as well as cultural and humanitarian interaction.

Particular attention was paid to issues related to strengthening interparliamentary dialogue as an important instrument for further deepening bilateral ties. In this regard, the significance of enhancing the activities of parliamentary friendship groups, which contribute to expanding constructive cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, was emphasized.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to further developing mutually beneficial partnership with the Kyrgyz Republic in priority areas of common interest.

The interlocutors also discussed matters related to the organization of mutual visits and maintaining contacts at various levels, as well as the participation of representatives of the two countries in international and interparliamentary events.
