The 114th session of the International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO) commenced its work in Geneva. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.
The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population M. Silapov, is participating in the forum. The Turkmen delegation includes representatives from relevant government agencies, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan. Over the course of two weeks, the delegates will discuss key aspects of ensuring employment, improving social protection, and strengthening social dialogue.
On the sidelines of the session, a meeting was held between the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Turkmenistan M. Silapov and the ILO Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Peter van Rooij.
During the talks, the parties noted with satisfaction the high dynamics of the traditional partnership between Turkmenistan and the ILO. Special emphasis was placed on the practical implementation of joint measures aimed at modernizing national labour legislation, improving the comprehensive occupational safety and health system, and strengthening social guarantees for workers.
The participants of the meeting reaffirmed their strong commitment to the successful implementation of the joint Cooperation Roadmap. Readiness was also expressed to launch new promising projects focused on promoting decent work principles and ensuring sustainable social development.
