Large-scale preparations are underway in Turkmenistan’s Balkan velayat for the upcoming Culture Week. The progress of organizational activities was discussed during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired via the digital system.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seyidova delivered a report on the matter. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the large-scale cultural event is dedicated to the Day of Culture and Arts Workers, as well as the Poetry Day of Magtymguly Fragi. The creative forum will take place from June 22 to June 27.

An extensive program of events covering various forms of art and creative expression has been planned as part of Culture Week. In particular, the opening and closing ceremonies of the forum will be held at the “Türkmeniň ak öýi” building in the city of Balkanabat. The program will also include musical performances, scientific and practical conferences, exhibitions, creative meetings, literary evenings, film screenings, and theatrical productions.

In addition, the results of previously announced creative competitions will be presented during the event. Participants and guests will also have the opportunity to attend a performance of the opera “Leyli and Mejnun” at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theatre.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the state gives priority attention to the development of the cultural sphere, the preservation of national heritage, and its promotion around the world. The head of state noted the great significance of the cultural events dedicated to the professional holiday for the country’s cultural life and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure that the upcoming Culture Week is organized at the highest level.
