In order to further development of the transportation of the Turkmen state and implementing the "Program of development of branches of transport and communications complex in the years 2012-2016" and "Master Plan of the Turkmenbashi international seaport and Turkmen sea merchant fleet by 2020" as well as further strengthen the technical base of the Office of the Turkmen merchant marine President of Turkmenistan issued the Resolution authorizing the State Service for sea and River Transport of Turkmenistan to conclude with the company «ULJANIK Brodogradiliste dd» (Croatia) contract for the construction and purchase of two car-passenger ferries, type «Ro-Pax».
