Every year, in addition to high yields of cotton and wheat, the Lebap velayat also harvests abundant crops of other agricultural products. A clear example of this is the plentiful rice crop grown in the velayat this year.

This year, rice was sown on 10,200 hectares in the region, with a planned harvest of 47,400 tons. This means that the expected yield will be approximately 47 centners per hectare. To achieve such a high target, rice growers are working diligently these days, caring for this labor-intensive crop in full compliance with all agronomic standards.

The proper organization of the work is ensured through the advance allocation of land for rice cultivation, thorough preparation for sowing this moisture-loving crop, which requires constant care, and the involvement of experienced rice growers in this important undertaking. The fact that the rice sowing campaign was carried out in an organized manner and to a high standard, and that uniform and full germination has now been achieved across all sown areas, demonstrates the successful start of efforts to obtain a rich harvest of this important food crop this year.

The careful attention given to the crop by tenant rice growers, the maintenance of the required water level in the fields, and the timely procurement of the necessary fertilizers ensure the healthy growth of the rice.

In the current production year, rice was sown on 2,600 hectares in the Charjev etrap, 2,500 hectares in the Sayat etrap, and 2,300 hectares in the Danev etrap. There is every confidence that these etraps, as in previous years, will make a worthy contribution to the production of a rich harvest of this valuable food crop across the entire region.

The work currently being carried out in the rice fields strengthens confidence that the rice growers of the velayat will achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
