The interaction of state institutions and the promotion of foreign policy initiatives were among the key topics of the speech by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty Presidium.
The head of the highest representative body of people's power emphasised the importance of coordinated work between the Halk Maslahaty, the Mejlis deputies, and the government of the country. The National Leader emphasised the need for a prompt response to modern challenges and the timely preparation of constructive proposals on pressing issues of state development.
A separate instruction was addressed to the national parliament. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty noted that the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, in cooperation with ministries, departments, political parties, and public organisations, should actively utilise the tools of parliamentary diplomacy. This work should be aimed at widely publicising and promoting the peaceful and humane domestic and foreign policies of the state.
As was emphasised, this vector takes on special significance in the context of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Fatherland and the year under the motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged horses».
