The President of Turkmenistan Presents Draft Agenda for the Upcoming High-Level Summit in Avaza

At the informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, held in the city of Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyz Republic), President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined the key areas of the upcoming Summit, which will take place in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone on October 8, 2026.

As the head of state reported, Ashgabat has already prepared and circulated to its partners a draft agenda covering five priority areas:

Security and Stability – an exchange of views on current regional and international issues related to peace, stability, and security.

Diplomacy – further strengthening of political and diplomatic cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Economy and Logistics – deepening trade and economic ties, cooperation in the energy sector, and the development of sustainable transport corridors.

Environment and Climate – joint measures to protect the environment and adapt to climate change, ensure the rational use of the water resources of the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers, and coordinate efforts aimed at the restoration of the Aral Sea.

Humanitarian Dimension – the development of cultural, educational, and scientific ties, as well as the expansion of student and youth exchanges.

"We proceed from the understanding that all the proposed topics are of great relevance and importance for our countries," emphasized President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The head of state also noted that the Summit program in Avaza will be accompanied by a number of international forums and cultural events.
