During a Cabinet meeting on the digital system, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard a report from deputy-prime and Minister of foreign affairs R. Meredov on preparations for upcoming state visit of the head of state to the Republic of Korea and his participation in the first «Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit».

As part of the upcoming high-level negotiations, it is planned to sign a substantial package of interstate, intergovernmental, and interdepartmental documents. The new agreements will expand the legal framework for bilateral cooperation in such important areas as economics, investment, transport and logistics, the chemical industry, infrastructure and industrial construction, environmental protection, water management, science, and education.

The report paid special attention to participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the first «Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit», which is intended to provide a powerful impetus to deepening multilateral regional dialogue.

The head of state emphasised the strategic nature of the partnership with Seoul and instructed the head of the MFA to ensure a high level of preparation for all planned events.
