On September 14, 2026, the 7th meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in the city of Baku. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.  

The meeting was attended by the heads and high-ranking representatives of the Muslim religious boards of the OTS member states, as well as the Secretary General of the OTS.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on current issues regarding the development of cooperation between the Muslim religious boards of the OTS member states, as well as the further strengthening of spiritual, moral, and cultural ties between the brotherly nations.

Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting by the Mufti of Turkmenistan, Rahman Gurbanmyradov.

In his speech, the Mufti of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the Muslim religious institutions of the OTS member states. He also noted the significance of joint initiatives aimed at establishing and promoting universal human values of peace, humanism, mutual respect, and spiritual unity.

Special attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the religious and humanitarian spheres, as well as the further development of spiritual and cultural ties between the peoples of the OTS member states.

The hosting of the 7th meeting of the Council marked another important step in the further development of cooperation between the Muslim religious boards of the OTS member states and the strengthening of spiritual and cultural collaboration between the brotherly nations.
