During his state visit to the Republic of Korea, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-myung. During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation and the regional agenda were discussed.

President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-myung expressed special gratitude to the Turkmen side for the assistance and provision of a transit corridor for the evacuation of Korean citizens during the difficult political situation in the region. According to him, this humanitarian action has become a clear evidence of friendly relations and a high level of trust between the countries.

During the meeting, the South Korean leader also noted Turkmenistan's high economic and resource potential, stressing that the successful implementation of large-scale joint projects demonstrates deep industrial cooperation and meets the interests of the peoples of both countries.

President Lee Jae-myung thanked President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for creating favourable conditions for South Korean business to operate in the Turkmen market and confirmed readiness of the Republic of Korea to further expand and deepen comprehensive partnership.
