Turkmenistan and Russia are preparing for the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
During the meeting, deputy-chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyyev reported on the progress of preparations for the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission on economic cooperation, which will be held in Moscow (Russian Federation).
The agenda of the upcoming meeting includes a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. In particular, the parties plan to discuss the development of trade and economic relations, strengthening ties in the fuel and energy sector, industry, agriculture, the financial and banking complex, customs, and digital technology.
The agenda of the meeting will also include issues of expanding partnerships in the transport and communications sector and the state cadastre.
In the humanitarian and business spheres, the focus will be on deepening contacts in the areas of education, science, healthcare, culture, sports, and environmental protection, as well as intensifying direct ties between the business communities of the two countries.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that the Russian Federation is one of the strategic and close partners of Turkmenistan. The head of state emphasised the need for high-quality preparation for the upcoming meeting, approved the proposed composition of the commission from the Turkmen side, and addressed the deputy-prime with relevant instructions.
