On 21 September 2026, a meeting was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan Luc Devigne. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.  

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union, as well as relevant issues of cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the priorities of Turkmenistan and the European Union within the framework of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as to issues on the international and regional agenda.

The sides also discussed organisational matters related to the holding of joint events and further interaction within the framework of bilateral dialogue and international platforms.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their interest in continuing constructive cooperation and maintaining regular contacts on issues of mutual interest.
