The presentation, on the eve of the military parade marking Independence Day of Turkmenistan at the Oguzhan Palace Complex, of the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan “Türkmenistanyň Garaşsyzlygynyň 35 ýyllygyna bagyşlanyp geçirilen dabaraly harby ýörişe gatnaşyja” to the President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, further increased the significance of the large-scale celebrations.
Military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies, accepting with a special sense of pride the high state awards and insignia corresponding to the military ranks they have been awarded, assured that they would make every effort to fulfill at a high level the call of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to remain faithful to their sacred duty and selflessly serve their people and Motherland.
The bowing before the State Flag as a sign of loyalty to the military oath is evidence of the continuity of the wise traditions of our glorious ancestors and adherence to their precepts on the defence of the Fatherland. For the younger generation of today, this serves as a genuine school of high patriotism.
All structures of the country’s military and law enforcement agencies honourably carry out the tasks set before them to strengthen and protect the state independence of Turkmenistan, enhance its defence capability, ensure the security of the Motherland and its citizens, as well as legality and law and order. The defenders of the Fatherland make every effort to achieve the goals arising from the Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan, which is exclusively defensive in nature. They ensure the inviolability of the State Border of Turkmenistan as a border of friendship and brotherhood.
The presentation of high state awards to military personnel and employees of various units of the military and law enforcement agencies for the conscientious fulfillment of their sacred military duty and many years of honest service is evidence of the recognition of their merits at the state level.
