On 29 September 2026, a conference dedicated to the development of digital innovations and their role in economic development has started in Astana within the framework of the «C5+1» multilateral cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the United States of America.
The conference is attended by heads and representatives of relevant state entities of the Central Asian countries and the United States, as well as representatives of partner organisations, including DFC, CRDF Global, CIPE and CLDP. Representatives of the private sector and the international expert community, including such companies and organisations as Meta, Oracle, Honeywell Technologies, Wabtec, McKinsey, EPAM, Plug and Play and Alchemist Accelerator, are also taking part in the event, presenting their experience and advanced technological solutions.
During the conference, participants are discussing issues related to ensuring the security and reliability of advanced technologies, key areas and priorities in digitalisation and the development of artificial intelligence, as well as prospects for further cooperation and strengthening partnership in these areas.
Turkmenistan is represented at the event by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Communications of Turkmenistan Ya. Gulmammedov.
At the opening of the conference, the Turkmen delegation briefed the participants on the work being carried out in Turkmenistan to develop the digital economy and introduce modern digital technologies, ongoing initiatives and achievements, and highlighted the prospective areas for further development in this field.
As part of the conference, discussions will continue on the issues included in the agenda, with a focus on the development of digital innovations and artificial intelligence, as well as the expansion of international cooperation in these areas.
