The Turkmen Agricultural Institute, with the support of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, is organizing a series of online Olympiads for students of higher educational institutions across the country.
In particular, three intellectual competitions are scheduled to be held in an individual format during the third ten-day period of October. The Olympiads are open to interested students from any fields of study and specialties.
The III Online Olympiad in Soil Science will take place on October 26 at 15:00, organized by the Institute’s Department of Agrochemistry and Soil Science.
Students in their 3rd–5th years at higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan are invited to participate. Participants will be given a test consisting of 50 subject-related questions, with 90 minutes allotted for completion. Contact telephone numbers: +993 65 894549, +993 65 276237.
The I Online Olympiad in Meteorology and Climatology will be held on October 28 at 15:00. It will be organized by the Institute’s Department of Agricultural Land Reclamation.
Students in their 2nd–4th years at universities across the country may participate in this competition. Participants will be given 50 tasks: 40 test questions and 10 problems presented in test format. A total of 90 minutes will be allocated to complete the tasks. The VI Online Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics will be conducted by the Department of Applied Mechanics of the Turkmen university on October 30 at 14:00.
Students in their 1st–3rd years may participate in this Olympiad. Within 120 minutes, participants will have to complete 50 tasks, including 30 test questions and 20 problems presented in test format. Additional information can be obtained by telephone at +993 63 887557 and +993 65 931638.
No more than five students from a single university may participate in each of the three online Olympiads. To register for the Olympiads, universities must send information about their team of participants and the person responsible for the team to the university’s email address, mailto:tohi_tm@sanly.tm, by October 22.
The winners will be determined based on the total number of points earned and will be awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
The results of the intellectual competitions will be published on the institute’s website, where detailed information about the competitions, as well as the conditions and rules for their conduct, is available.
The Olympiads are aimed at improving the quality of student training, deepening their knowledge and skills, developing creative thinking, independence, and students’ abilities to solve relevant scientific and practical problems.
The organizers invite students and teachers from higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan to take an active part in the upcoming Olympiads and express confidence that the competitions will contribute to strengthening cooperation and friendly ties between universities, exchanging experience among teachers and students, as well as identifying talented young people and preparing them for further successful participation in international competitions.
