President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss socioeconomic development of the country over the first nine months of this year.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov presented a report on the macroeconomic indicators of the national economy.

According to the data released, the growth rate of gross domestic product (GDP) of Turkmenistan for January–September was 6.3%. At the same time, high development dynamics were recorded in all key sectors.

Thus, in the transport and communications sector - 10.4%, trade - 8.4%, the service sector - 8.4%, construction - 6.7%, agriculture - 4.1%, and the industrial complex 3%.

Overall, production volume during the reporting period increased by 9.9% compared to the same period last year, indicating steady growth in production indicators across all sectors of the economy.
