This year, a rich rice harvest was grown in the Lebap velayat. Care for this important food crop is in its final stages. In total, 10 thousand 200 hectares of land in the velayat were sown with rice this year, from which it is planned to harvest 47 thousand 400 tons of rice.

Preliminary determination of areas for rice planting in the region, the involvement of experienced farmers in this responsible task, and the care of this labour-intensive crop contributed to the formation of a rich rice harvest.

Rice fields in the etraps of region are a clear example of this. According to the plan, this year rice was sown on the lands of eight etraps of the velayat. For example, in the Charhev etrap, 2 thousand 600 hectares were sown with rice, in the Sayat etrap – 2 thousand 500 hectares, and in the Danev etrap – 2 thousand 300 hectares. It should be noted that these etraps make a great contribution to obtaining a rich rice harvest year after year.

Currently, intensive preparations for the harvesting campaign are underway in the velayat. The technical condition of the combines is monitored, and repair and preventive maintenance is carried out at rice receiving points. This work strengthens confidence that hardworking rice farmers of the velayat will successfully navigate this challenging season and achieve their goals.
