President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov advocated for intensifying industrial cooperation and establishing joint export-oriented complexes in the agro-industrial sector within the region. The Head of State announced the relevant initiatives on the 8th of October at the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, held in the «Avaza» National tourist zone.
In his address, the head of state placed special emphasis on the agro-industrial sector, where climatic and geographical features of the region serve as an advantage.
The President of Turkmenistan proposed leveraging this potential to implement joint projects for establishing large-scale processing and agricultural enterprises capable of supplying the global market with products that are competitive in terms of both price and quality.
To foster the successful development of trade and cooperation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov called for the removal of transport, customs, and tariff barriers, proposing a shift toward more flexible cooperation models and the active implementation of electronic management systems.
