Training sessions for faculty members and students of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University have concluded at the university’s Luban Workshop. The sessions, held from October 24 to 31, were led by instructors from China’s Xi’an Petroleum University and Hebei Petroleum University of Technology.

The training program was aimed at enhancing the professional expertise and teaching skills of the university’s academic staff, ensuring the sustainable development of the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan, studying the experience of specialized higher education institutions, and promoting and deepening practical cooperation among education specialists. It also provided an opportunity to discuss promising areas for future collaboration.

Chinese colleagues regularly conduct training sessions at Turkmenistan’s oil and gas university. This cooperation is being successfully carried out within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan, signed in Xi’an on October 18, 2024, between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Xi’an Petroleum University, Hebei Petroleum University of Technology, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), and the China Education Association of International Exchange.

It is worth recalling that the official opening of the first Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan, based at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, took place on April 16 of this year.

This joint Turkmen-Chinese project is designed to support the training of highly qualified specialists in relevant fields, including engineers and technologists equipped with in-depth knowledge and professional skills to meet the demands of rapidly advancing innovative technologies.
