The International Conference and Exhibition "Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan" (CIET 2026) took place in Ashgabat. One of the interesting venues of the forum was the exposition of the State Atomic Energy Corporation of the Russian Federation "ROSATOM." Within the framework of the event, the honorary participant of the conference, Deputy Director General of the Representative Office of the "ROSATOM" State Corporation in Central Asia, Dmitry Konstantinov, shared his vision of the prospects for bilateral cooperation.

According to the representative of the corporation, the main goal of participating in the exhibition is to acquaint Turkmen partners with advanced solutions both in the field of traditional nuclear energy and in related high-tech industries. In particular, this concerns nuclear medicine, additive technologies and modern composite materials, which are widely in demand in industrial and civil construction.

D. Konstantinov emphasized the multifaceted nature of the industry, noting that the development of peaceful nuclear energy is inextricably linked with scientific research and the training of qualified personnel. In this context, the head of the representative office noted that personnel training is an integral part of nuclear energy.

Of particular interest to the guests of the exhibition was the model of a combined integrated nuclear power plant presented at the stand. This project combines a classical high-capacity nuclear power plant and low-capacity reactor units into a single complex.

"Low capacity is already a modern trend that is being chosen by countries that want to embark on the path of nuclear energy, where the energy systems are not yet so large, and it is precisely a low-capacity nuclear power plant that is a good first stage for this. This integral layout allows for maneuvering capacity — thanks to the low-capacity units, it makes it possible to make a comprehensive nuclear project more flexible," shared D. Konstantinov.

The meetings held within the framework of the forum confirmed the mutual interest of the parties in developing scientific and technical dialogue and implementing joint innovative projects.
